The school was established in 1978. PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 is a Co-Ed school affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) . It is managed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The 69 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the Mumbai Region uphold this commitment by placing a strong emphasis on imparting life skills and fostering harmony through child-centric learning activities.
